Job Summary:

The Director, Marketing will execute on marketing goals to ensure share of market and profitability of Acclarent products. Develops and executes marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to ensure the profit growth and expansion of company products. Develops talent and business to be best in class.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead launch team for the Balloon Sinuplasty platform. Ensure successful product launches which lead to strong top line for business. Preparation of launch material, training material and leadership of and execution of training with team members.
  • Discover, understand, and communicate customer and market dynamics and trends for clear understanding of customer needs.
  • Responsible for tactical implementation of key market programs, including: voice of customer needs analysis, market share measurements, Scientific Advisory Board, and user board panel recruitment, etc.
  • Lead in creation of global product positioning, marketing claims and branding for new products.
  • Develop and recommend pricing strategy for the organization which will result in the greatest share of the market over the long run.
  • Conduct market and product opportunity assessment. Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized.
  • Oversight of department budgets, including delivering strong ROI on programs.
  • Lead and mentor the team ensuring that the organization is staffed with highly motivated and skilled professionals.
  • Participate in or own the development of business cases for new product opportunities.
  • Responsible for the tactical implementation of key direct marketing programs.
  • Evaluate market reactions to direct marketing programs, and product packaging and formulation to ensure the timely adjustment of marketing strategy and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Participate in strategy formulation and valuation for existing businesses and potential licensing and new internal development assessment.
  • Prepare marketing activity reports.
  • Own at least one product development effort in core business (cradle to grave).


Education Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Business, Marketing or Life Sciences


Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of progressive and demonstrably successful marketing experience in driving new product launches, product development, marketing programs and/or sales.
  • Experience developing and executing marketing plans and achieving business results.
  • Experience in either physician marketing or direct-to-consumer marketing with evidence of success.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in pricing, reimbursement and creative product and program development.
  • Proven leadership skills in meeting business goals.
  • Strong business/financial acumen in understanding internal as well as external market environments.
  • Excellent track record in directly managing and developing team members.
  • Experience with strategic planning and business development preferred.
  • The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, strategic thinking skills, strong financial acumen, and be results oriented.
  • Start up/pre-IPO experience preferred
  • Leadership capability coupled with roll your sleeves up mentality. You will be not only creating strategy but executing on details.
