Job Title: I.T. Specialist
Location: Menlo Park, CA

Job Summary:

The I.T. Specialist manages the company's information technology systems, and ensures proper function of I.T. infrastructure and provides end-user support.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain workstation hardware, software, printers, MFPs and connectivity to Windows Ethernet/wireless LAN plus remote VPN environment
• Support company employees and contractors in their use of workstations, desktop applications and I.T. systems
• Perform daily I.T. operations, e.g. moves/changes, account resets, tape rotation.
• Administer user accounts
• Maintain the company's VPN for remote access
• Perform workstation procurement, setup, inventory, and repairs
• Interact with vendor technical support where required
• Process computers and equipment warranty and repairs
• Help business operations utilize information systems to improve efficiency

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years experience supporting end users in a networked environment
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field desirable
• Good knowledge of Windows XP, Active Directory, Exchange, Outlook
• Good knowledge of workstation security issues, anti-virus and anti-spyware solutions
• Strong PC/Laptop/Windows troubleshooting skills
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking
• Understanding of methodologies and tools for rollout and administration of workstations using standard images
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Initiative and ability to work wit littler supervision
• Lucent/Avaya KSU/PBX administration experience a plus
• Linux and ERP support experience a plus
